No, you do not need a referral to book a Physiotherapy appointment.
The exception to this is if you are attending under a WorkCover, Third Party claim or Department of Veterans Affairs claim, or if you are on an Enhanced Primary Care/ Chronic Disease Management plan – these cases do require a GP referral.

Payment is required in full at the time of your appointment .
HICAPS payment facility is available, enabling Private Health fund claims to be processed on the spot (please ensure you have your membership card with you as we cannot back date HICPAPs claims).
EFTPOS and Credit Card payment facility is available.
Credit cards accepted: VISA, MasterCard, AMEX.
If you have a chronic condition or illness, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for your physiotherapy consult through a Chronic Disease Management plan/ Enhanced Primary Care plan - please discuss with your GP if this is appropriate for you.

We politely request 24-hours notice for all cancellations or alteration of an appointment.
An answering machine is available for after-hours cancellations.
Missed appointments or late-notice cancellations will incur a charge.

Please arrive a few minutes early to your scheduled appointment to ensure all necessary details and paperwork have been collected.
Please bring any scans, X-rays, or test results you may have.
Your Physiotherapist will begin by discussing with you your reason for visiting and asking questions about your medical and sporting history.
Following this, your Physiotherapist will conduct an assessment of the relevant area/s – they may request the removal of your top or trousers in order to properly evaluate the area. We have singlets and shorts available to wear if you require them.
After a thorough assessment, your Physiotherapist will discuss with you their findings, diagnosis and a recommended management plan.
Treatment may consist of manual therapy, education, advice, exercise prescription, ergonomic recommendations, sporting guidelines, and so on.
There will be time for answering any questions you may have throughout the appointment.

Session times vary, but will usually be between 30-90 minutes duration.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that allows the physiotherapist access to view, assess and treat the area that is of concern.
As mentioned previously, if items of clothing need to be removed, your physiotherapist will discuss this with you. There are shorts/ singlets available to wear if required.

Please bring any scans, X-Rays, referrals or Doctors correspondence you have.
For exercise/ rehab classes, please bring a small towel and a drink bottle.
For outdoors exercise/ rehab classes, please also bring a hat.
